Easy Paleo Desserts for Valentine’s Day

Celebrating Valentine’s Day without breaking your clean eating habits isn’t that hard to do if you’re willing to get creative.

Between yummy Paleo desserts and heart-shaped steaks, you and your healthy honey can enjoy a holiday filled with love, laughter and lots of good food.

However, if you aren’t channeling your inner Julia Childs this week, we’ve got you covered with these three simple and clean Paleo dessert recipes.

Paleo Desserts for Valentine’s Day

paleo dessertsRaspberry Chocolate Mousse

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup of raspberries
  • 4 tablespoons of melted coconut oil
  • 3 tablespoons of cacao powder
  • 3 tablespoons of honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a food processor and blend until your mousse is smooth.
  2. Chill before serving.

Strawberry Banana Ice Creampaleo desserts

Ingredients

  • 1 container of strawberries
  • 4 bananas
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 1/2 cup of almond milk
Directions

  1. Chop the leaves off of the strawberries and split them in half. Add them to the blender.
  2. Peel the bananas and chop them into smaller pieces before adding them to the blender.
  3. Add the milk and honey to the blender.
  4. Blend all of the ingredients and then transfer to a tupperware container.
  5. Freeze for four hours before servings.

Chocolate Covered Cherries

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons of cacao powder
  • 4 tablespoons of melted coconut oil
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 1 pound of cherries
Directions 

  1. Add melted coconut oil, cacao powder and honey to your food processor and blend until the chocolate is thoroughly mixed.
  2. Cover a baking sheet in wax paper.
  3. Dip your cherries individually in the chocolate mixture and deposit them on the wax paper.
  4. Put the baking sheet in the freezer for an hour or until the chocolate mixture is hardened before serving.
